Conncted via the supplied cable harness, this range can be interlinked to our other Smoke & CO alarm ranges.

Ionisation Alarms:

These are best suited to fast flaming fires detection as when an electrical appliance catches fire.
For best overall protection Kidde recommends that a minimum of 1 Ionisation,1 Optical smoke & 1 Heat alarm is fitted.

4870 Mains hard wired product with Duracell alkaline battery back up.

123i Mains alarm with no battery back up.(No longer compliant with Building Regs).

Optical Alarms:

Best suited to slow smouldering fires, such as when a cigarette has been dropped in some furntiture,
but not fully extinguished. Optical alarms (also known as Photo Electric) are also preferred by some
as they have no radioactive components. Social Landlords increasingly specify this type as they
are better suited to resisting nuisance alarms caused by steam eg from a kitchen.

Kidde Silhouette Range:

This Ionisation smoke alarm range is only designed for the US market in 110v configuration.
It has no approvals for use in Europe at this time.
