*Be wary of buying Battery CO alarms off "E Bay"; as such imported alarms may not bear the mandatory CE Mark; this is applied when the manufacturer/importer
has satisfied themselves regards compliance with the relevant European legislation on these products ie Electrical safety and Electrical Inteference (EMI).
Alarms directly imported from the US or Far East by 3rd parties may well not show the required CE mark (see image). Kidde only applies, following tests by independent, 3rd party laboratries.

Products made for the North American market have a Guarantee operated by Kidde in the USA with whom any claims would have to be raised, unless they are versions imported by Kidde in the UK, showing a CE mark on the product/packaging.
